The Benefits of Blogging for Your Business: Part 2

Whilst there is some debate over whether blogging is still relevant in the digital marketing world, there is firm evidence to suggest that no matter whether you are a small local business or a huge multinational firm, blogging boosts your marketing for many reasons.

We covered a few of these reasons last week, including how blogs drive traffic to your website and increase your SEO. This week we’re covering a few more of the benefits of blogging, so let's jump in!

Blogging Can Strengthen The Relationship With Your Customers

Relationships in business are built on trust. No one will part with their money if they don’t trust that the product/service is what they want, and they certainly won’t buy from someone they don’t trust.

Blogs provide a way for you to strengthen your relationship with your customers. Customers can come to your page and get to know more about your thoughts and ideas from your website directly, by becoming their main source of information you are likely to build trust.

If customers are asking questions on social, and you have blogged about the answers, why not direct them straight to your post? This is great because your business will be the one teaching them, rather than another not-as-informed page.

Blogging Can Establish Authority

Blogging gives your company a voice. You can create your own space to talk about product launches, or new website features, or whatever else you think is relevant to your business. You can let your brand’s personality shine!

Additionally, you can use blogs as a space to answer questions your customers may have. By creating this helpful content, you will become the authority in your customer’s eyes as you are the one providing the useful information.

Although this can’t be measured the same way that traffic and SEO can, being an authoritative business providing useful information still enables sales.

Blogging Can Also Benefit You

Whilst blogs are great for your website, your SEO, your sales and your customer, they’re also great for you. Blogs provide a chance for you to remain focused on your content marketing strategy.

If like us, you post regularly, you will feel that responsibility to continually deliver useful, purposeful content. Here at Total Merchandise, we aim to post at least twice per week so that we can provide our customers with regular content.

Blogging is inspiring, cost-effective, and an all-round winner to include in your marketing strategy. What will your next blog be about?
