The TM 12 Tips of Christmas - Part 2

Earlier this week we ran through the first 6 of our 12 tips of Christmas, ranging from ensuring you are present on social media to adding social sharing options.

According to Real Business, the UK were set to hit a spend of £77.56 billion in 2016 for Christmas, therefore this is a season where you want your marketing to be at its A-game.

We want to share with you our final 6 tips to complete our 12 tips of Christmas.

7) Consider Staying Local

If you incorporate local search in your Christmas campaigns, you can be sure that your consumers will be able to find you in stores should they wish to convert offline.

8) Think About How To Make Your Customers Feel Special

Christmas is a time for giving, whether it be gifts or love, so ensure that you are making your customers feel special. You could offer a gift with a certain purchase, or even just send an e-card as a way to say thank you to your customers and encourage them to reuse your services.

9) Follow Trends That Work For You

As a general rule of thumb, if you take a look at your business’ historical data, you will be able to optimise your future actions. Check out if your paid ads had a good return on investment, and if so you could consider investing a little more into them. Also, take a look at the key dates that your business was doing well on and see if that links to certain efforts you were making on social media.

10) Start Early

Market early and market often. This is our mantra during the holiday season, hence why we are writing about Christmas in mid-October. Start to think about the marketing materials you may need for the upcoming holiday season such as e-flyers, brochures and flyers and give yourself enough time to build a hype around your brand. Keep your customers in tune with your Christmas offers right until Christmas Day.

11) Look At Your Insights

In order to inform your social media advertisement purchases, use search marketing campaign insights. In this way, you will be able to see what conditions are necessary in order to lead to sales and conversions.

12) Have Fun

Christmas is a fun, festive holiday filled with a lot of sparkle and happiness so make sure your campaigns and efforts reflect this.

What will you be doing for your Christmas marketing campaign? We hope our 12 tips help guide you through the busy, festive season.
