How to keep your important customers happy

When running a business you will want to keep all of your customers happy, but it's especially important to keep those happy that perhaps spend more with you, or are more 'regular' than other customers. Loyalty should also be rewarded within a business, and this can be done through the use of discounts or perhaps giveaways.

The Importance Of Showing Your Appreciation To Your Loyal Customers

Taking care of your loyal customers is important to a company, as loyalty is the 'bones' of the business. When you are struggling it's your loyal customers that will continue to purchase from you, so it's important to remain loyal to them also. Many businesses, particularly larger ones, make the mistake of offering new deals to entice new customers in, rather than looking after their existing customers. This could be a big mistake.

The recession highlighted the importance of maintaining your existing customer base. Many businesses saw their marketing budgets cut which meant they were unable to advertise to new customers, relying on existing customers and word of mouth to get their business. Whilst we are now out of recession, we believe this strategy should still be considered as a precautionary measure.

As we've mentioned, you could offer deals to entice loyalty, or you could spend less money and invest in branded giveaways instead. There is a wide variety of choices available to you when it comes to stocking up on executive gifts. We've noticed over the course of the last year, there has been an increase in the number of businesses handing out gifts to customers and employees. This may be as businesses have realised how effective this strategy is in terms of marketing.

What Promotional Products Are Effective For Ensuring Customer Loyalty?

So, what gifts should you give to your customers? Executive gifts can be any manner of items, just the kind of item you would be happy to send out to your customers. You could send all your customers an Easter egg, to show them your appreciation or if you want to play the dual role of keeping your customer happy and gaining extra advertising you could invest in branded merchandise.
