There are two times of the year that provide a great opportunity for a community fête, Summer and Christmas. So why not use branded merchandise to get your organisation recognised within the community this Christmas?
What Are Christmas Fêtes?
Christmas fêtes stem from the tradition of the Christmas market, which traditionally takes place in the four weeks of advent. The history of Christmas markets goes back to the late middle ages. One of the oldest and biggest Christmas market takes place each year in Dresden. It originated in 1434 and attracts between one and two million visitors each year. They are traditional to Europe and all of the big European cities hold a market each year to attract tourists.
Whilst the UK holds Christmas markets in major cities such as Edinburgh and London, there isn't generally enough space to hold a market in every town for a full four weeks. This is where the Christmas fête was born. A Christmas fête can take place on any day throughout December and lasts for one day.
As with traditional Christmas markets, the main attraction is generally a nativity scene or Santa's grotto. However, Christmas fêtes also offer the opportunity for local businesses to set up a stall and sell their Christmas related goods or offer Christmas related competitions. This is where we think your branded merchandise fits best.
How To Promote Your Brand At Your Local Christmas Fête
Perhaps you could run a Christmas competition to support a local charity, but give away branded items to everyone that enters. Not only are you showing support for your local charity, but you are also getting your brand name out to the masses. This is a great opportunity to hand out your branded merchandise without being appearing too marketing-orientated. Or, you could raffle off a branded hamper. This is a great way of getting your brand into someone’s home and make money for a worthwhile cause at the same time.
Another way in which you could sell your brand is by selling branded merchandise. One product which we love is our printed teddy bears. These come with a t-shirt which can be branded with your company name. Again, you could sell these for charity, people may be more likely to buy them as they want to support the charity as well as a local business.
There are many different ways you can distribute your branded merchandise at local Christmas fêtes, so have a look at our special corporate Christmas gift ideas section for some inspiration! Don't forget to fill out the form to receive a rapid quote, or feel free to give us a call.
