Why are Promotional mugs associated with Easter exactly

Last night on television there was an advert for a major UK Supermarket advertising Easter Eggs, a range of which was shown, most of which all came with a promotional mug. Which made us think...why? We can kind of understand the chocolate egg thing but why promotional mugs?

Branded Mugs To Boost Long-Lasting Brand Awareness

From the manufacturer's point of view, once an egg is unwrapped by its mainly very young audience, it'll not last long. And once the egg has gone so has the egg manufacturers branding for another year. By selling Easter Eggs with a 'free' mug, the manufacturers know that their brand will remain in front of the eyes of their target audience and on kitchen worktops throughout the nation.

Therefore, in theory, any company that wants it's brand to impact long beyond an initial introduction or point of sale needs to consider some form of long term, lasting promotional material. After all, mugs do tend to last a few years or more on average. The added bonus with a promotional mug is that the product isn't just seen by the owner, it's effectively an advert for anybody who comes into contact with that person whilst they use their promotional mug too.

At Total Merchandise, we have a huge range of promotional mugs, whether they be for Easter, Christmas or just any other bespoke marketing campaign for a business - we're sure you'll find the perfect mug!
