Use Promotional Products to promote your business within schools

When deciding on your promotional products, you will probably look at events which are coming up. Every marketing team has a calendar which lists important dates and events they should invest in.

Towards the end of August, you will probably looking at events such as Halloween, Guy Fawkes night and perhaps even Christmas. However, if you think a lot closer, we also have back to school time. Perhaps you are a local business who wants to target parents, by providing schools with certain promotional products you can appeal to your target market whilst also helping the local community.

Funding can be relatively small for schools, particularly primary schools, which is why your promotional products will be welcomed in time for the new school year. You need to think carefully about which products you are going to invest in. If you are targeting parents then the items you buy will need to be something that can be taken home.

One item which is guaranteed to go home and be looked at is a Homework Diary. At many schools these homework diaries have to be signed by the parent on a weekly basis. If this is the case at the school you choose then your branding will be seen by the parent on a weekly basis at least. Even if this isn't the case many parents take an interest in their children's homework, so will look in their diaries on a regular basis anyway.

A great item for the younger children in particular is the animal school bag. This is aimed at a much younger age group but these rucksacks are a really fun promotional item which the kids and parents will love. They come in a choice of four different animals – pig, duck, panda or cat. Whilst they are slightly more expensive these are guaranteed to get noticed both in and out of school. As they are so cute it is likely that children will want to use them outside of school as well.

The final item we think is useful is the five piece ruler set. This includes ruler, two pencils, sharpener and eraser. The set all fits together meaning it is all in one place, reducing the risk of losing items! The sets can be personalised to your companies colours and include a large space for personalisation.

When choosing events to target your promotional products make sure you don't forget back to school children.
