There are many key ingredients required in order to create a user friendly website, and hovering at the top of this list is giving people the ability to easily find the information they are looking for. Website navigation that is simple to use and easy to understand is critical to saving time, but what if you can go one step further? This is where a search feature comes in useful. But what about one step further than that? Let us introduce our new website feature: multi-search.
The idea is simple, but the time and effort it saves is critical. We have spent a lot of time investing in the latest technology to get you the best user experience possible when looking for products on our website. In our time-constrained business world, we all know that ‘time is money’, therefore it is no good to be wasting your valuable time sifting through pages and pages on a website for multiple products.
Our new multi-search feature allows you to find and select multiple products that you would like to receive more information or a quote for in a fraction of the time it would take to search them individually. You could think of it as an advanced version of what we are starting to see in the search bars of giant food companies. Don’t believe us? We’ll let the data do the talking…
We had participants between the age range of 20 and 50 search for a list of four random items individually, and then using the new multi-search feature to see how much time they would save.
As you can see, the average website user can save an estimated 49 seconds when using the multi-search feature (85 seconds compared to 36 seconds). However, it is not only about the time you are saving. It is the ease at which this is done; you only have to visit one website page, the search is all carried out in one place, and then the items you have searched for are all in one tab on your screen. Check out our search below for a pen, logo bug, sports water bottle, sweets and a fidget spinner. As you can see, multi-search collects everything you are looking for in one handy page. You can then quick-view any item you want from the search and receive an online Rapid Quote for it within the hour (without ever having to leave the page!).
With websites and technology becoming more and more advanced, it is no surprise that the expectations for great user-experience are increasing. We’d like to think that in terms of a user-friendly website, we have just raised the search-bar.
