As the conference season approaches us in September it is very common for a company to invest in promotional merchandise suited to the type of conference they're going to. A conference is a meeting whereby people “confer” about a topic. There can be many types of conferences, each focusing on different issues and the biggest is, of course, the political party conferences.
Examples of just a few other conferences include; Academic conferences, Business conferences, and Parent-teacher conferences. An academic conference is usually for researchers to present and discuss their work. These conferences enable researchers to exchange important information. A business conference refers to an arranged meeting whereby people discuss or engage in a common interest. Common business conferences are usually based upon industry, profession, and fandom (displays, shows based on pop culture and guest celebs).
Parent-teacher conferences usually happen every so often within a school term. These conferences offer a chance for the parent to meet their child’s teacher and review any issues.
A company can use these different types of conferences as a way of promoting their company or business to a wider audience by having a company name or logo branded onto promotional merchandise. This should then create more brand awareness for the company. Promotional merchandise can be anything, however, the more the promotional merchandise relates to the company’s target audience, the more desirable the promotional merchandise becomes.
It goes without saying the more desirable the promotional merchandise the more people will pick it up at the conference and hopefully take it away with them. This could then widen the audience your brand is advertised to even more, and possibly create more business.
A hobby convention could also be included in the business conference category as it has the nature of both professional conventions and fan conventions. The professional nature would include the people who are lucky enough to have their hobby as their profession too (i.e. Jenson Button).
At hobby conventions, it makes choosing promotional merchandise that much easier for a company, as the company can just choose a promotional product that relates to the hobby of the company’s target market (for example a promotional golf ball at a golf convention).
Total merchandise has a wide range of promotional merchandise to suit potential clients with many different hobbies. To see them all look through the total merchandise website and if you have any questions about any promotional merchandise, just give us a call.
