This year, as many of you may know, is a leap year... February has 29 days instead of the usual 28, so the year lasts 366 days instead of the usual 365 days. Brand awareness is a marketing concept that enables businesses to measure the level of consumer knowledge and interest either in their brand, product or company. Basically the more people that are aware of your brand the more likely they will trust and buy into it.


How do you create good brand awareness?
Good brand awareness doesn't come over night, you need to work hard at promoting your company and/or the services it offers in every way possible. That means putting adverts in the paper, handing out promotional flyers, putting adverts on billboards and even to some extent having adverts on the television. Using any of these mediums to promote yourself is an excellent way to create good brand awareness... however they can be costly. Promotional merchandise can work just as effectively as a newspaper adds or posters... and can sometimes be an even better way to promote your brand. If you choose the right type of promotional merchandise that will show off your company to it's full potential, the merchandise will be pick up and shown around to everyone. For example if you wanted to promote a new gym that has just opened, investing in promotional sports bottles would encourage the user to use it, whilst they are using it they will be promoting it to other avid fitness lovers and could possible encourage them to join the gym too.
