A Tree-mendous Christmas Ahead

You don't need to be a rocket scientist to know how busy the retail market is during the festive period. This time of year is when the shops become almost unbearably busy, you spend hours trawling websites and the postman looks constantly flustered.

Online shopping is becoming more and more popular for several reasons. One is that it means people don't need to find the time to make a special trip to the shops, and another is that it's just so convenient doing it from the comfort of your own home. The package is delivered, and the shopping is done without one queue amongst disgruntled festive shoppers fighting for the last pair of PJ's.

We've come across a few interesting facts and figures relating to last year's online shopping recently. As you can see below, Christmas 2014 saw a 19.5% increase in online sales, and the average household spend wasn't far off 1000 pounds! Retailresearch.org is predicting an even bigger Christmas for the retail sector this year, and we have no doubt those predictions will come true!
