A Few Promotional Merchandise Facts

If you are Director of a company then you will understand the need to do anything to increase your sales, sometimes it's even worth investing in promotional merchandise to do so.

Sometimes you've got to spend to accumulate. For example, when you take on a member of staff, you spend money on their salary but can take on extra work as a result. The same applies to promotional items. In a recent BPMA survey, a selection of Senior Managers were asked why they chose to use promotional items in their sales and marketing campaigns. Of this number, 69% stated it was because they believed it targeted customers more effectively. The same survey showed that 49% of Senior Managers had increased their spend on promotional merchandise since the last financial year. Furthermore, 88% of them have one or more promotional products on their desks. A massive 35% of Senior Managers also believed that promotional products had the best ability for making you remember a brand.

Research has also shown that 52% of people who have received a promotional gift in the past have then gone on to purchase from that company. As well as this, 76% were able to name a company promoted on their desk without even having to look at the merchandise. This shows the impact that promotional items can have on your company.

All of these facts and more highlight that promotional merchandise works well in promoting your company. The statistics show that using it can be extremely beneficial and in some cases, vital to your companies success. In fact, further research shows that 83% of Senior Marketers are already planning to increase or maintain their spending on promotional items for next year. These same marketers tend to purchase promotional items on average every three months.

There are so many statistics highlighting the importance of promotional merchandise, but the important one to remember is you need to invest in order to make money for your business! Promotional merchandise is just one of the ways in which you can do this.
