Promotional Mouse Mats Are Still as Good as Ever

Many people are already starting to sort out their marketing materials for the next year, which leads us to think about promotional mouse mats and their uses. With the increased use of tablets and laptops, many people are wondering whether it is even worth investing in mouse mats, so why should you invest in mouse mats?

A recent survey showed that more than half of the respondents used a mouse mat, either at home or at work. As computers are still used largely in offices, mouse mats are very prominent on people's desks. Older people are also more likely to use a computer, as they aren't used to laptops or tablets. Either way, desktop computers require the use of a mouse, this means that promotional mouse mats should always be considered when promoting to an office.

What many people fail to realise, is that mouse mats are required for reasons other than just vanity, they can also mean that desks will last longer. Have you ever considered the impact moving a mouse across your desk actually has? As you will be moving the mouse around in the same place, it's likely that you will be wearing the same part of the desk. This is bad for the desk as it means that it will look untidy and possibly break quicker.

Promotional mouse mats are also a great way to get into your customer's offices and under their noses every day. The average person will spend between seven and a half to eight hours at their desk, five days a week. This means the majority of their time is spent at their desk. If you were to use promotional mouse mats, you could be targeting your customers throughout this time. Any mouse mat design should always have your telephone number or a website printed onto it.

When investing in promotional mouse mats, you should think carefully about your design. Mouse mats offer a very large printing space, meaning that any design you choose will get noticed. Your design really depends on the message you are trying to get across. If you are trying to appeal to a corporate industry, you may want to use a more corporate design with a simple call to action within it. However, a more creative industry may want to choose a different design.
