All you do is plug the USB charging cable (that is included) into a wall plug or computer (which may reduce charging time) and then the light on the side of the charger will glow red to show that the pad has connected and turned on. Once you place your phone onto the pad, the light will glow blue to show that your phone has been detected and is charging.
