The return of summer also marks the arrival of the festival season. Notoriously attended by people of ages, it provides a wide-ranging audience which can be effectively targeted as part of a summer marketing campaign.
Festivals take place across the world every year, and there are recurring trends which can be exploited as part of a focused campaign. Despite this, the opportunity to implement a new feature is always possible, with 'festival goers' always looking to add new accessories to their weekend attire.
1. Safety reflective vest
With large numbers of people always in attendance, and one of this year's early festivals expecting a capacity crowd of nearly 200.000 people, the importance of safety cannot be underestimated. How will you be using your high-vis jacket though? To target the 'festival goers', or the volunteers and marshals? That all depends on your company's position in relation to the event. As the main sponsor, providing branded safety vests could be something to look at; in order to make your brand's presence as big as possible. Whilst large groups attending festivals may benefit from your business' conscious thinking.

Despite the fact that the festivals often take place in the summer season, rain is somewhat customary at these events. Hence why despite the time of year, these ponchos always prove to be somewhat of a hit. If you're promoting at the event... when the heavens open, the masses could be descended on your pitch in search of a branded poncho.

Here's where your marketing campaign can target the next festival accessory we were talking about. In years gone by items such as Wellington boots, sunglasses, and headbands have set the way... so why not push the branded bandana?
